Portland Native, Investor & Real Estate Agent

Hi All,

I joined BP last year, but have never formally introduced myself. 

My name's Katelyn, I'm a Portland native with a pretty expert-level understanding of its neighborhoods and surrounds (if I do say so myself :) )

I left the area in 2008 to teach English in South Korea. Spent two years there, then one year in Spain, then 3 and a half years in South Africa. Plus some travel in between. All in all, I was outside of the country for seven years. I am also a professional musician. I realized a few years ago that becoming a player in the real estate world was my ticket to eventually spending most of my time playing music. So that's what I'm ultimately after. Although until then, I feel very satisfied in this creative & dynamic industry. I can honestly say that I love it, and I never thought there would be anything, other than music work, that I could say that about.

I started as a wholesaler and assistant to a real estate team. Now I am in the middle of my own flip (with another under contract!) and am a licensed real estate agent in Oregon.

Hoping to meet people here that are as hungry as I am.

Welcome to BP, Katelyn! I am also new to the game, only having just starting getting interested in real Estate about 3 months ago. My wife and I live in Tigard, actually just got an offer accepted on a house in LO, and we'll be renting out our current residence.

I'm hoping to secure a contract on a flip property by 12/1(cuz I want to quit job and make RE a full time gig)
