I'm ready to gain early financial freedom.

My name is Brian Nakagawa and I've spent the last month listening to podcasts here on BP, reading Set for Life by Scott Trench, and studying to become a home inspector. My goal is to start my own home inspection business in the state of Hawaiʻi on the island of Oʻahu and eventually invest in small rental properties on this island and possibly some of the outer islands. My wife and I are both currently working full time w-2 jobs and have a burning desire to quit and start working for ourselves. We're hoping to supplement at least one of our incomes using cash flow from rental properties and run the home inspection business ourselves. There is a ton(an overwhelming amount at times) of great information here on BP and I can't thank Josh Dorkin, Brandon Turner, the rest of the BP team, and every other investor that gives their time for free to educate those of us who are still struggling to find our start. I know I'll never be able to truly pay all of these people back, so someday as they say...I'll pay it forward.

Make sure you are comfortable with coming face to face with some interesting things, and that you don't suffer from claustrophobia!  Those crawlspaces and attics can be tight some days!  It's a great business, but there's a ton of information to know to be a great inspector!
