Newbie from Bradenton, Florida

Good afternoon everyone!  My name is Scott Rixon and I live in Bradenton, Florida.  My wife and I are brand new to real estate.  We are looking forward to learning, growing and having adventures in this new endeavor!

Several reasons why we want to get into real estate is because we are both working in the corporate world and have experienced the uncertainty of working for someone else.  Also, all of our investments are tied up in stocks and bonds so we would like to diversify.  

I love working with my hands, and I did a lot of work on our house, so the idea of fixing up a house to sell appeals to me.   We would like to start out small to get our feet wet by purchasing a small condo or duplex but hopefully move up to small family homes or house flipping.  

We are looking forward to meeting wonderful people and learning lots of new things!
