Grand Rapids, MI - New Investor

Hello BP - In the words of Mr. Josh Dorkin "Whats up Man?"! I am a new investor and cannot seem to get enough of learning real estate. For the past 6 months I have been educating myself as much as possible by spending any amount of free time I have reading books, listening to pod casts, and exploring the blog/forum posts on the BP website. My wife and I are both from west Michigan, however we currently reside in Chicago. We are looking to move back to the Grand Rapids area in the near future. In moving back, we are hoping to find a multi-family duplex/triplex that we can house hack to help kick-start our investing portfolio. I am looking to connect with any wholesalers in the area. Whether you are a wholesaler or a fellow GR investor please feel free to connect with me and I look forward to becoming an active member of the BP community! Jeff

@Jeff Shutich Welcome to BP!!  Grand Rapids is an exciting place to invest right now for sure!  Multi family properties are a great way to get into the investment income flow!   We are experiencing rapid escalation of pricing in several areas of this city and its important to understand which areas and why.  If you intend to invest here, please take some time and do research on your investment targets.   Finding deals can be achieved with the right knowledge.  Feel free to add me to your network for any advice you might need.
