New to Richmond area- looking for advice and resources

Hey everyone- my husband is a long time listener and I've only been hooked for a short while. We just moved to the suburbs of Richmond for my husbands job and now I'd like to take a more active role in finding our next project because it took us a year to find our first property. We're about to close on a multi family home - we plan on fixing it up and renting it out in the Buffalo NY. My husband was raised in NY and his brother lives there so we had a little advantage. Now we have to start over! We're interested in commercial properties, multi family units and buy and hold properties in the Richmond / surrounding areas. Interested in areas to target/avoid.
