New from Indianapolis

Just thought I'd make a quick introduction here.

My name is Cameron and I'm from Indianapolis.  I'm 26, married 5 years, 2 big dogs, and expecting the first little one shortly.  I graduated from IU in 2013.

I got into eCommerce when I was 15 and have been blessed enough to be able to work for myself ever since.  However, it's clear to me there is an expiration date on this...retail can just suck the soul right out of you, so my expiration date with this is coming.  I also know the internet is fleeting, and while we may do well today, Google's algorithms and a million other things could change up the game tomorrow.

I have most of my cash invested in my current businesses, but I'm at the point where I'm looking for my next path.  I've been inspired by several business professionals around me who are involved in real estate, and I'm considering it as a long term way to invest excess profits from my business, and eventually, have somewhere to put it when I *hopefully* cash out one day.

I've been reading. Much more to read. Many more people to talk to. I'm still trying to determine what's right for me. SFH, low income, etc seems to have the same "retail" feel, so probably heading towards something more commercial and lower maintenance. I've considered starting out with a commercial building for my business, leasing out the extra space to tenants and having them pay my mortgage for me. But that's just one of a few ideas.

Right now, my eCommerce business takes up just about all my time.  I'm not looking to start flipping houses or manage a bunch of properties right now, but I always tell people you'll never get where you want to be if you don't start by dipping a toe in.

I don't have any questions right now...I'm sure I will soon.  I'm just listening and taking it in.  But if you have any advice, let me know.  A lot of the stories on here are definitely inspiring!
