I'm 19 years old, and looking to get a head start on life, as well as building a stable financial future. I have relatives that have made off very well by investing in real-estate. Based on my studies the last several months, it would be great to start off young, as well as the advice taken from countless blogs, articles and forums.

I started saving about the same time I began researching, and have almost 10g, and certain stories I've read that for a small home, only a few thousand is needed for a down payment. I'm strongly considering doing a type of FHA financed multifamily investment, that would let me purchase a small property with a very small down payment (3.5% to my understanding) and possibly live in/fix up/rent out part of it etc.

Thought this would be a good resource to added to my toolbox. Open to any and all advice , specific or generic, as anything anyone says is going to be taken and assimilated with all eagerness.
