Hello from Shanghai

Hello Everyone,

My Name is Oliver, my friend and I run a boutique Real Estate Agency called SHPlace in Shanghai, China.

I try to keep this as much to the norm as suggested in the forum.

I'm chinese, Moroccan but grew up in switzerland (german speaking part).

I love everything real estate.
I started by just helping my friend out, translating for foreign customers during the boom years of 03 and 04.
It became so busy that I went fulltime, and I started loving this business when I found Shanghai's historic treasures (french concession properties).

I was always more of an internet guy, but the beauty of these colonial buildings just really sucked me in.
After a while I started, renting, renovating and re-letting some of the properties, my colleagues and I have now about 70 properties we manage.

We generate top google results for all our keywords and run a 51 (as of current) websites program to generate "free" leads without ad dollars.

I regularly check in with luxury brokers around the world, and I learned and improved a lot reading descriptions of properties on the nytimes (halstead in particular) and wsj as well as some australian sites.

It's been a couple of years, and we can consider ourselves top in the luxury market here.

As mentioned above, I loved reading up on listings in the US and I'm looking forward to meeting some of you, expanding my network and hopefully work together in the future.

In 2010 my goals are to expand into commercial real estate, and lay the basestones for a successful international business in the feature.
I also want to ad a few sites to our network.

Oliver
