Newbie 22 YO Veteran Needs Help!

Hello BP team, Just an introduction my name is william flowers I'm currently a network engineer for the government, previously an member of the U.S Army. I have been intrigued by real estate for quite some time and have the support of my wife, and I am now ready to jump in but I'm not sure where to start I have had some awesome reads from BiggerPockets affiliate authors but I want more of an interaction with the community; a little more insight if I can get some feedback that would be great. Just a little more info: Currently located: DC, Maryland, Virginia area Interested Areas of Investment: Cleveland, OH/ Baltimore, MD/ (You Guys Tell Me) I'm more open to low cost investing as I'm just starting I would like to take it slow learn what I can and then expand upward. Ultimately my goal is to be guided/ contribute in this great community take advice from the professionals in this community and forge relationship.
