The Tortoise or the Hare, northern NJ

Hi everyone! Is it just me or am I the Tortoise in this market ? Why does every potential investment I come across have 10 offers by the time I hear about it ? I am a novice investor from northern NJ. I am interested in working on fix and flips (for now). I don't have much experience so don't be surprised if I ask a bunch of dumb questions. I got a 6/11 on one of those quizzes, so you get an idea of how much of a newbie I am. I have a home improvement business and I work with a few RE investors who have been sort of mentoring me, but their time is limited and I end up doing a lot of research myself. I want to thank all the contributors and members on this forum for allowing me to pick their brains at my own pace. I wish everyone a lucrative year ! P.S. I tried to post this earlier and my phone wouldn't let me, so I apologize if it double posts.
