Newbie from Pittsburgh, Pa area

I took the advice from a friend and finally came to BP. I am located south of Pittsburgh, Mon valley area. I own a General Contracting/ Remodeling business and am interested in learning more about real estate, particularly interested rentals. I am moving closer to making my first investment and I'm just trying to make some educated decisions and learn what I can from people with experience. Any advice on getting started is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks in advance!
