New to Real Estate Investing

My name is Kyle Carhart and I am from, and hoping to invest, in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area.  I currently live in Caledonia, MI.

I am hoping that through Bigger Pockets, I will be able to expand my network, and become an active investor.  I would like to use this site to network with wholesalers, investor minded real estate agents, and a potential mentor(s) in the (or familiar with) the GR market.

I am willing to work in exchange for experience given the right opportunity and while I have minimal experience on my own I am hoping to create some financial freedom for my family through buy and hold investing.

I have spent a lot of time educating myself through the podcasts, postings, and books but need help in taking correct action.  Any help regarding these requests would be appreciated.  Thank you for your help in advance!
