SoCal engineer seeking wealth - North County San Diego

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year BP! I'm new to BP and excited to be a part of such a thriving REI community. I'm an engineer by education/career and looking to design a better life for myself and my children's, children's, children's, children's. I'm a newbie at the REI game, but willing to bust hump to learn the ropes. I love the analysis part of REI , but need to constantly remind myself not to fall victim to "analysis paralysis" and just do it! I've been reading and educating myself and have decided to go the buy and hold strategy, any suggestions on best way to build momentum in REI? Thanks all and shout out to all local (San Diego) BP members.
