Newbie from Glens Falls, NY

Hello Bigger Pockets!

My name is Ernest "Pete" Peterson and I am from Glens Falls, NY.  I am new to the forum and hope to gain knowledge from other members experience and wisdom.  I work on the railroad and also work as a carpenter on the side.  I want to begin investing on a part time basis over the next year. 

As the result of a recent divorce, I am "house hacking" what was once our family home. I rent out three bedrooms which covers all the expenses of the house except "cap-ex". I am currenty saving around $2000 a month

My strategy, going forward, is to buy & hold SFR's and 2-4 unit multi families for rental income. My goal would be to purchase one rental by the end of 2017.

I hope to learn strategies and techniques to acheive those goals.
