Newbie from Austin! Eager to learn

Hey all,

I've been a silent biggerpockets forum reader and podcast follower for the last month or two. I'm a physician (a hospitalist) and am looking to put my capital into real estate for at least the next 7 years or so. I'm currently still in the self-education phase of my journey, lurking on these forums and reading biggerpocket books ad well as going through (every single one of) the biggerpockets podcasts, which are phenomenal. I love how the community here is smart, mutually supportive and mostly just a decent bunch of people. I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you here in the greater Austin area, not just to make connections in this business but making new friends as well. This is all way outside my comfort zone, but that's precisely one of the reasons I'm attracted to this endevour. 

I'm most excited about the BRRR strategy and will try my best to make this my main investment vehicle. If there are any flippers out there who wouldn't mind me tagging along to some of their rehab projects, please reach out. I'll try my best not to get in your way and to help you out in whatever way I can in exchange for some education. I'm very teachable, motivated and will be very grateful for any opportunity to learn anything I can about this business!
