New young and ambitious couple in Phoenix, AZ

Hello Everyone,

I'd like to start buy thanking the founders and the community of the creation and on going evolution of this resource. In the last few weeks I have gone from knowing jut that real estate was interesting to actually formulating a plan for our future.

Working a 40/Hr a week job has always seemed like a never ending nightmare. When I was in high school, all of my teachers preached the college to job path as if it was the "one true path to happiness." Yet many of the most successful people in history seem to achieve success through creativity and courage, rather than homework and tests. And I want to live a life of wealth and adventure, not cubicals and stress! Of course I hadn't the darnedest idea of how to do it, and still don't... But real estate seems to be the ticket.

My significant other and I are new to RE, as it seems that's how most people start, and we are excited to learn anything about it. We have always been drawn to buy and hold rentals due to the passive nature of the strategy. To have more fun we would like to move to the BRRRR method once we can move full time. It seems to best fit our life philosophy of working to live rather than living to work.

Personally, I have always found myself captivated by entrepreneurship and the lifestyle it brings long term. Real estate meets all of the benefits of building upon the benefits of previous efforts. We both currently work full time jobs in Phoenix, Arizona and of course quickly became tired of the never ending grind. So now we are here and looking forward to any and all information, stories, and lessons anyone is willing to share.

We have listened to almost all of the podcasts, studied the beginners course, and now we are turning to the forums for help on specific topics. We look forward to interacting with all of you and hopefully meeting some of you locally.

My first question is... Does anyone have any tips on how to find information quickly on the forum?

Thank you and best of luck to you all!

Cheers,

Ryan and Rachel
