Hello Everyone:

My name is Neal and I'm up in Portsmouth, NH, right on the east coast. I'm excited to be part of the BiggerPockets community and look forward to getting started in investing in Real Estate. I'm 29 and have done quite a bit of reading on the topic, but only recently decided it was time to get things started so I can finally leave the boring cubicle job.

Since I don't have too much in the way of capital to start out, my goal is to start with getting residential properties, probably distressed and foreclosure, under contract, and whole sale them to other investors who have the connections and experience to turn them around. Like I said earlier, I'm in New Hampshire now, but am close enough to, and familiar with, the Boston area. I plan to start there, and eventually do some distance projects in Dallas TX, another area I have spent quite a bit of time.

A question for those who have been in this business for a while. When wholesaling a property, would $2k - $4k be an unfair contract finders fee, depending on the property?

Thank you all for the help and I look forward to working with you soon.

Neal M.
