32, just quit my job

Graduated college in 2010 and was still working the same job I had been to get through school, until the end of July this year. I'm moving back home temporarily for family/personal/relationship reasons and to try something new. I was sick of the rat race and too embedded in it to see beyond it. Owning real estate and having renters has always made sense to me, but instead I just threw my money out the window paying rent for the last decade. Is it too late for me? I'm excited by the possibilities, but overwhelmed by the amount information and fear I've already missed out. J
