Hello there BP! My name is Will Niessner and I'm a 17 year old, 18 this month, looking to get into real estate investing as soon as legally possible. I am from Winchester, VA but will be attending school in Salisbury, MD at Salisbury University for the next 4 years while studying Business and playing on the school's tennis team! My vision is to try the house hacking method and rental properties in order to pay my soon-to-be-annoying student loans. I am not a fan of debt and that's why when I realized how much money it would cost for me to attend my school I immediately began looking for ways that I could pay it back, and fast. So I started raiding the business section of the bookstore (I intend to major in business) and began going through podcasts on iTunes. Through listening to the Radical Personal Finance podcast I came across BiggerPockets and began listening to the podcasts. I have been doing this for about a couple weeks now and am totally hooked. I know what I want to do in order to generate some of that money back to pay for the student loans but I want to figure out HOW to do it. I all the time that the biggest things holding people back is money, fear, etc.. I will say that while some of those might be holding me back a bit right now, none of them will stop me. I believe this is something I can realistically do and I want to learn how to do it. I set lofty goals for myself and won't stop until I get there. So I'm sending this message asking if you guys can give me any tips or advice for the first step in the situation that I am in. I don't want to wait because of how young I am, I want to use that to my advantage and get a head start on the game! I'm very much interested in the rental area as that is what has caught my attention the most, but really want to learn any and everything! Thanks again and very excited to be on here!
