Hello bigger pockets I've been studying real estate for years...and I'm soooo ready to take that next step now...but I don't have a team the people who are closest to me know nothing about it...any real estate groups in Newark NJ? I want to start local...I want my first deal to be a house hack

Here's an idea:  perhaps take title individually and then transfer it into a trust for asset protection, which will not trip the due on sale clause. Check out asset protection info/You Tube videos by Clint Coons-he states Land Trusts are valid in all 50 states.

Also, you may want to check out these lenders and similar: Lima Capital and Angel Oak -and others advertised on Bigger Pockets.  These lenders specialize in catering to investors and do not have as many restrictions as the conventional lenders with respect to how you hold title...best of luck.
