New Investor to Washington DC area

Hello my name is Jean Nicolas. I'm from the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area as we locals call it. DMV appropriately named with all our traffic jams…lol. As an IT consultant I work in DC and lived in a modest 500 sqft DC studio for 4 years.

My accountant told me about BP podcast almost a month ago, been hooked ever since listening to at least a podcast a day, and very excited to be plugged in to like minded people! Like most everyone on BP I was inspired reading “Rich Dad Poor Dad” several years ago. So my goal is to buy and hold properties that will generate the needed passive income to be financially free (even played the Cashflow game yesterday in almost 10 years...and it's always exciting to get out the rat race!! Lol ).

Looking to do the Cashflow Game in real life by networking with local investors to find nice cashlfow deals and/or partner on quick flips to build up nest egg.  By the way, love residential multi-units and have had experience managing 101 appartment complex for a year (Bay Area 2002). Multi-units are BIG DEALs for me and open to partner with experienced investor(s) ...otherwise I'm happy to continue plugging away at my SMALL DEALs :-)

On the journey...I currently own 3 level townhome in Alexandria, Virginia which I House-Hacked (converted to a studio basement that I live in and rent the rest of the top 2 floors by room). Last year I also acquired a SFR in Boston (Hyde Park, Ma) that I'm in the process of renting out. This month I'm expecting to close on another townhome (with a separate upstairs and finished basement) in Baltimore, MD across from John Hopkins University.

Thank you,
-Jean
