New member from Northwest Indiana

Hey everyone! My name is Darien, hailing from northwest Indiana (near Chicago) & I'm a newbie to the real estate investing world. I didn't really know anything about real estate until I attended a seminar a few weeks ago. But instead of paying the outrageous startup fee they asked for, my wife showed me a blogpost from this site on how I should invest in my self first. I've been listening to the podcasts ever since. I currently work as a truck driver but I realize this is not what I want to be doing for the rest of my life. Hopefully through the power of real estate investing I can quit my job and take control of my own financial destiny.
