Hello, I'm Taylor! I've been on BP for a couple years now but just joined pro yesterday and decided to get involved with making connections!

I bought my first property in 2014, a duplex that I "house hacked" for the better part of a year. I have since rented out both sides and learned a lot in the process! I've dealt with leaking roofs, big dogs, tenants losing jobs, one even spent couple weeks in jail... but I'm happy that I've been able to learn from my mistakes so early in my investment journey, and at a time when I could easily afford it!

I'm getting ready for my next purchase, and would like a rehab project! When I was growing up, my mom was always doing major construction to our house, even improving a couple rentals we lived in (the landlords always appreciated it). While I may have hated spending hours in Home Depot as a grade school kid, I finally understand the value of DIY home improvement!

Please share your early experiences of land-lording or rehabbing with me!
