Hi there BP community,

Newbie investor here from the Boston area. I've been learning, lurking, and listening to the podcasts and webinars for a little while now, thank you all for all the great threads and content. I'm a freelance video editor, but grew up working as carpenter for 7 years before going to film school. In 2011 my wife walked into small 1950s cape style house that reeked from 60 years of cigarette smoke and fell in love with the property. We bought it and I spent the next 4 months working on a complete gut renovation of the house, living in a tent out back, begging friends and family to help hang drywall, pull nails from the oak flooring we salvaged from another local home days before it was demolished, or carry in the concrete counters we made out in the driveway. We are still drumming up new projects each year for our home, but now want to use our skills to invest in small multi and single family buy and hold properties in our area. We'd like to buy 1 this year, 2 the next, 4 the year after that, and well see how it goes from there. Given that this area is a seemingly trickier area to invest in I'd love to connect with any other investors here (buy and hold, flippers, rehabbers, wholesalers, anyone really) and learn more about you and how you are investing successfully.  Thanks again for everyone who has contributed to BP community already, I hope to contribute as well!
