Hey there BiggerPockets community,

Facts First - My name is Ian Hoyt and currently I am paying some other landlord rent money to live in Columbus, Ohio. I love it here, but will actually be migrating south west to Cincinnati, Ohio this August.

I stumbled upon BiggerPockets by first stumbling upon "Rental Property Investment" book by your fearless leader. I finished reading the book today and since he mentions BiggerPockets many, many times I got the hint and came here to hang.

In my free time - lol I have none... but I do love spending time with my girlfriend even though it ends up revolving around talking about all of this (she's in the startup world as well luckily), and I am addicted to aviation and love flying airplanes when I have the chance and money.

ANYWHO...

My goal in real estate is pretty straight forward. I first am wanting to House Hack in Cincinnati when I get there. From there, I would love to begin the journey of diversifying my business portfolio by adding rental properties as another arm of my daily life and long term wealth plan.

I also find a ton of motivation in creating some type of stable wealth that not only can sustain myself but retire my extremely hard working mom.

Those are my goals, my current struggle is the financing portion of the whole enchilada. As an entrepreneur of a fairly fresh creative agency you can likely assume banks aren't going to be buddy buddy. So I am looking for any advice or insight into similar situations you or your friends may have had being younger, and more "unstable" by investing standpoints.

Thanks for taking the time to read... I look forward to getting to know some of you in the coming months!

Happy investing,

Ian :D
