New Investor from DC Metro Area

Happy New Year to everyone!

My name is Jim and I've lived in the greater DC Metro area for 12+ years now, specifically Northern Virginia (Alexandria & Vienna). Like many folks in DC, my full-time job involves working with "Uncle Sugar" aka the US GOV. I recently began my adventure in real estate investing (outside of investing in REITS) and at this point I'm in the read as much as I can phase. Right now I'm tackling J. Scott's book "The Book on Flipping Houses." Because I'm in the beginning (reading/absorbing everything phase), I haven't decided which would be best for me in terms of rehabbing vs. investing via rental property income. That should come in good time though.

I would appreciate any advice in the form of suggestions for other books I could be reading in addition to the J. Scott book.

Many thanks and I hope everyone has a fantastic and prosperous 2016!

Jim

Welcome to the platform Jim! Other book recommendations Rich Dad Poor Dad, Millionaire Real Estate Investor and Brandon Turner has a book on this platform that I've heard is a good read.

I wish you the best of luck in 2016!
