Alright, so here goes.

My name is Chris Oswald and I live in Stillwater, MN.  Since I was in college in the early 2000's I would look at real estate and think through how I could make a bit of money on the deal.  Never did I really think that I would make that plunge. ( I come from a very conservative midwestern family - get a good job, work hard, retire in a million years). Well I am now ready to make a very real go at real estate investing.

I currently own and rent the townhome my wife and I used to live in and would love to increase the number of rentals in the long term.  Right now I would like to get into wholesaling and fix and flip to be able to finance the long term goal of buy and hold.  The challenge is the ability to finance deals once they come, but I'm working on that problem.

I have worked for myself my entire life and always have been able to make it by, but my family has become my muse.  My wife deserves to be a stay at home mom and I want to provide that to her through real estate investing.  I love to learn new skills, and browsing through the forums, blog, posting, and podcast has definitely brought new knowledge, just not much wisdom yet.  I realized that with other businesses I have run, I understand direct mail marketing, online marketing and how to determine your target audience. The BP community has, hopefully, taught me the beginnings of how to apply that knowledge to a new venue.

As I start to work deals and become successful (with a lot of hard work and the resulting luck), I hope to have a lot of you to thank.

Here's to bigger and better in 2016, I wish you all the best in the upcoming year!

Chris
