Hi,

I am new to real estate investing. I need a major change in my life. I can no longer work for someone else. I am to unhappy. I have always been interested in real estate but never had the nerve to get involved. I have reached a point of no return. It's either this or nothing. I am in the learning stage, so any and all information I gather will be helpful. Thanks

    @Monica Wright! Glad to see you on Bigger Pockets! Bryans road? That is actually not too far from where i just bought a property. I know your feeling, I've had it myself. Investing in real estate is not an overnight thing but BP is a great place to start and pick a strategy. While I was working as an employee I would listen to the Rich Dad and Bigger Pockets podcasts on the way too and from work. It changed my mindset and motivated me. I still listen to audiobooks and podcast every day while I drive. I wish you the best and please feel free to reach out anytime - but always happy to talk.

    Welcome to BP, Monica. As someone who has been there, I have to say I appreciate you candid comment regarding the W-2 income. Congratulations making the commitment and focussing your efforts on sharpening your REI skills. I recommend spending some time under the "Learn" tab above. There are many great resources available including the podcasts and some ebooks, which I found to be quite valuable. In addition to the resources, there are many experienced and savvy members on BP who are willing to answer questions and share advice.

    I hear your frustration. However do not start thinking real estate is going to be a quick fix to your problems. It is a great way to build wealth over the long run.

    Hello Everyone,

    Thanks for all the Welcomes. I have been spending my days reading, listening and researching. OMG.. It's a lot of information. I completely understand how committed you have to be to be involved in this stuff. If I wasn't at the end of my rope, I would walk away. But I am at the end of my rope. I'm so over working for with no end insight. So I will keep reading and listening and soon I'll be asking questions to improve my understanding. At least I have this BiggerPockets as a resource. thanks again.
