  • I have been wanting to actively engage in real estate investing for years.  I have not had the opportunity (read that as I had ALL of the excuses)  to do so.  I do have 1 property, an old residence that we never sold when upgrading and turned into a rental.  This house will be paid off in the next year and a half.  I am interested in buy and hold (right now I don't know any better..)  I work at my IT job during the week and my wife owns a restaurant where I work on the weekends.   There is A LOT of WORK in my life and I am ready for this work to produce something other than nonrecurring income.  I have planned for my very soon to be paid off rental unit to provide a revenue stream that will help me begin to grow my infant real estate business into something that will allow me to transition out of "work for pay" and into "invest for recurring income" so that I can begin to play some instead of work every day .
