Hi everyone. I'm Christopher F Settipani from Richmond Hill, Queens, NY. I was born in Queens, spent most of my teenage years our in East Northport (Suffolk), NY, and decided suburbia was not for me and headed back to Queens after my stint in the USAF. I'm a novice investor. I have some turnkey SF rentals in the Orlando region in a SD-IRA; I have a SF rental I'm managing (seeking tenant as I write this) in Shirley, NY; and I participate with a group of investors in a pool of 2nd position distressed mortgage notes. In the next two months, using my SD-IRA, I'll be partially gap funding a fix & flip in Hauppauge, NY and purchasing more mortgage notes (again, with a group of investors). While I've been active, I haven't been active enough! I've lost money on some deals (more than I've made so far!) and I need to (a) recoup those losses, and (b) start bringing in more money (via wholesaling, I hope) in order to fund fix and flips and more notes.

I've been a member of BP for awhile, even recently signing up for Pro, and I listen to most of the podcasts, but it is only now that I'm going active (I know, I should have long ago). I'm just starting to try wholesaling, and I look forward to learning (especially from other Long Island wholesalers) what I should and shouldn't be doing. As you can see in my little blurb below, I'm a numbers and Excel guy. I've also literally done hundreds (possibly over a thousand) of Power Point presentations. Those looking to put together good presentations,  or just looking for a proofreader, ask me.

A little more about me :
I decided to move to real estate from Wall Street. I worked 10 years for the consulting arm of a big 4 accounting firm, helping Global Investment Banks, Insurance Firms, Multinational Asset Managers, and Hedge Funds improve their back office operations, specializing in implementing investment performance measurement systems. Prior to consulting, I worked for a European Multinational Asset Manager handling performance measurement, attribution, and analysis for domestic and international equity portfolios. Before that, I managed back office portfolio operations and accounting for a NY-based Hedge Fund. I'm also a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force, based at RAF Chicksands (6950th ESG) near Bedford, UK during Operation Desert Storm.

For those who've made it this far, thanks for reading!
