Hey everyone, I am Tim. I just got to the Harrisburg, PA area and I just placed a bid on a duplex that I want. It is my goal to rent out one unit and live in the other. From there I want to expand the number of houses and duplex’s that I own until they all support and pay each other off.

I have no background in real estate but I have been planning to rent out homes since I was 12 (26 now) and I feel that I am in the position to begin. My end state is to achieve a six figure net profit only from the passive income of rentals. I am in the process of volunteering at habitat for humanity in the construction area to gain experience in DIY project so that I can renovate some parts of my rentals thereby reducing my over all cost of ownership.

I am looking for knowledge and networking here.
