Experienced architect...new(ish) to real estate

I am a central Illinois native and resident. I am a 41-year old licensed architect ultimately looking to acquire long-term, low-maintenance investment properties over the next 10 years.

I have had my original home as a rental for almost 4 years. Our first tenants fulfilled their year lease and we had a one-month vacancy until our second (and current) tenants moved in. We have had literally 4 maintenance calls in that time totally maybe 6 hours of work and $600. So, we've enjoyed the good life of hassle-free real estate ownership. I hope to expand on this as a back-up to my main career as an architect.

I also hope to learn more about wholesaling and organizing parynerships so I may bring my building expertise to the table in exchange for financing and construction.

If there are any architecture/design questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me. I have been through two of my own whole-house renovations and have learned a few things about where to spend for maximum impact and where to scale back.

Also, for those looking to convert 2-bedroom homes to 3-bedroom homes via additions or renovations, I can offer you quick suggestions in exchange for some "insider tips" on tried-and-true resources of where to find great values before they hit the market!

Ciao,

Paul

Welcome Paul.

What town are you in?

I live in Morton, but do most of my investing in Peoria.
