I am a new investor living in Pompano Beach, FL -- which is close to Ft. Lauderdale, and about 30 miles north of Miami.
My W2 is with a coastal engineering firm. I work to design and permit the marina portion of waterfront developments.
My wife and I bought our first (primary) house about a year ago. I found BP, listened to a lot of the podcasts, then bought an REO and rehabbed it (mainly me - some help from a contractor friend).
We've since had a baby and now I'd like to jump into REI more actively. I'm planning to get the real estate license in the next few months as a start.
Looking forward to connecting with some folks here.
If you're a waterfront developer in South Florida, feel free to contact me and I may be able to help you.
Regards,
BW
