We bought our first investment property today! A pretty house in Madisonville with an awesome gambrel roof. I'm excited and nervous all at once. After several let-downs, I was pretty convinced we would be outbid in the auction again. And then we weren't and I had a big "Oh, wow. This is really happening." moment.

I'm a professional interior designer; I spend my days creating floor

plans, material palettes, and custom fixtures for retail prototype stores. My husband and I share an interest in real estate. We're bleeding hearts when it comes to saving old historic houses, which can be a challenge when trying not to become emotionally attached to properties.

I found Bigger Pockets through the podcast, which I've been binge-listening to  for a couple of months now. I've learned a lot from BP already and I'm excited to call myself a real investor now!
