Newbie in Miami, FL

Hello all,

My name is Nelson Castillo. I have been on BiggerPockets for a few months and have read some interesting things. I enjoy listening to the podcasts on a daily basis. I want to thank the staff at BP for providing this wealth of knowledge to newbies such as myself. Currently, my girlfriend and I are renting and are looking for a home to buy. We will be looking into buying rental properties shortly thereafter. My goals on BP are to accumulate more and more knowledge, as well as learn about possible real estate networking events in my area. Also, I am reading Building Wealth One House at a Time by John Schaub. Anybody have any recommendations for good real estate books that haven't been mentioned on the podcasts?

Welcome to BP.  I'm from Miami as well.  Looks like you are on the right track.  I don't have any particular book recommendations but it sounds to me like you may already know most of what you need, especially if you've read the blogs and listened to the podcasts here.  Let me know if you ever need any real estate help.
