New to Wholesaling

Hi my name is Taberious Horton and I am new to Real estate Investing and the Bigger Pockets community. I'm and IT professional at the moment looking to pick up new skill along with a new way of life. I have decided to start with wholesaling since I don't have any capitol to start with. I have watched a lot of YouTube videos and read a lot of different post  I haven't signed for a system yet. I am curious to know should I pay for a system or mainly learn as I go.

Also, I am looking to network with any investors in the Detroit Metro Area.  I am looking to get started in the Westland, MI area. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this city as far as investing.
