Greetings BP!
My name is Louis Puma, I am a young professional in the South Florida area currently working a full-time job in the Telecommunications industry. I am also an aspiring Real Estate Investor. I am looking forward to being a part of the BP community! Here is a little bit about me:
Experience
My Real Estate experience in the traditional sense is minimal, however I do have Real Estate experience in some capacity with my job; I work as a site acquisition specialist for a large tower company, so part of my job involves researching properties and negotiating leases with commercial landlords for antennas on rooftops. I have also completed a 63-hour Pre-License Real Estate Sales Associate Course, and I plan on taking the state exam in the coming months for my License in the State of Florida.
Real Estate Goals
***SHORT TERM***
1. Education. My goal is to gain as much knowledge about the Real Estate investing business as possible. I have been listening to the BP podcast (which is great by the way) on my commute to work, and I have a list of books about real estate investing that I am looking forward to reading.
2. Network Building. I am interested in building relationships with individuals who are involved in the Real Estate investing community. I plan to do this by joining a local Real Estate Investment Club and being active on the BiggerPockets.com forums!
3. DOING MY FIRST DEAL! I hear the term "Analysis Paralysis" being thrown around a lot in the REI community. I want to avoid being one of those people who invest a lot of time and money into learning the business only to back out and never actually do anything with it. There's only so many books you can read and seminars you can attend. Eventually, you have to move from theory to practice! I believe the best way to learn something is by actually doing it. So with that said, my biggest short term goal is to do my first deal and get the ball rolling on my Real Estate Investing career!
***LONG TERM***
1. I would like to start a fix-and-flip business where I am consistently flipping multiple properties per month for earned income.
2. I would like to build a sizable portfolio of rental properties for passive income.
