Hello BiggerPockets members. My name is Tyler Maddox and I am a young, new real estate investor in the Columbus area. I plan to use real estate as some passive income to start and grow from there. My goal is to buy my first 4-unit before the summer is over and see where it takes me! Excited to see all the content this website has to offer. Thanks.

Any neighborhood where the average rents are $500 to $600 for a SF home. Those houses are old, and capex will kill you over the long run. Even if you get them for next to nothing. The rent is just not high enough to support the costs of owning and maintaining a house.
