New BP Member/Investor in Lowell, MA

Hi All,

Just joined BP and am a newbie in the REI world. Been reading and listening for about a week now trying to gain as much education as I can to make an initial investment. I'd like to go big or go home and jump right in with commercial property (apartment complex, etc) but without having "Big" knowledge, I've decided to go in small until I build up some best practices and equity/experience and then work my way up the right way.

Would love to build a network of Lowell area folks and build my team asap.  I'm going to get my Real Estate license just to gain knowledge and possibly access and benefits for property searching etc, but mostly for knowledge.

I've also owned my own contractor business in the past, so that might help in finding a deal or not so much of a deal (lemon), but do not want to get into rehabs, etc...just investing.

If there are any meetings/groups in the area I'd love to come out and become part of the network. Also, many questions regarding LLC/Taxes/growth/mistakes/location, location, location, etc.
