I'm new!
Hello everyone well anyone who reads this! My name is Andrew Smith. I just created my account her so I could learn from the professionals regarding real estate investing. Honestly I want to learn this business more then graduating college. I'm honestly not sure where to stat? Or how to get followers or people interested in helping me, guiding me, asking questions of mine, just help make this dream of mine reality. If you are someone with a ton of knowledge and wisdom within this field please feel free to message me or follow or which ever this forum does. I would really appreciate the help.
I guess my other question is where do I start? How do I learn the begging and the end. How does a college student who has no money (paycheck to paycheck living) even get started with real estate investing.
I know in house flip is an option and I would do it in a heart beat. But my only concern really is how do I even purchase the home without being billed a crazy amount each month I can't even pay? I'm fresh to the game, a fish without water, Please help if you enjoy messes!

Welcome to Biggerpockets!
My background was also finance and accounting. Be careful once the rental bug bites you, you are SOL. We went from 0 to 5 house in 3 years. My goal is 5 more in 18 months :) We got started at 23 and 25. with no help or other assistance. We have focused on growing both our W2 incomes and our rentals. Our W2 incomes fund ours rentals. Our first house was a personal that we turned into a rental. You can buy a personal and rent out the rooms. Now you can live scott free, add equity and be able to buy your next house.
We are buy and hold investors with the plan to plan to real estate as our early retirement plan when my husband retire from the Navy (god and navy willinging) in 15 years. This is an amazing place and you will learn tons. We are buy and hold investors in it for the long term cash-flow. Therefore we buy highly leveraged properties, in appreciating areas. Since we both work full time and self manage, we buy properties that allow us to continue this business plan. Therefore our houses tend to be class A real estate, the crappiest house in the nicest neighborhood/school district.
Another great place is to look around the blogs, forums and listen to the podcasts. If you see a post you enjoy check out the persons signature. Many of us including myself talk about our strategies, styles, niches and business model on our website. So definitely check that out as it is an amazing additional resource. For example, my blog is about while working full time, buy and hold investing, 0% Down Rentals, Personal Properties turned rentals, Long distancing investing, self-managing 3,000+ miles away. Definitely list your blog or website in your signature, if you have one. Its a great additional networking source.
Look forward to seeing you around! Let me know if I can help!
