Newbie from Brooklyn,NYC Looking for a Mentor
Hello BP community!!... I've been following this BP community for a year now as a free member and I think that this place rocks!!! so i decided to join as a Pro member after I attended a webinar by @Brandon Turner on 9/26 which was AWESOME... Anyway... I have been investing in my financial education over the years (2003) via every "GURU" course that exist (LOL). from Carlton Sheets to Russ Dalbey , to eventually Armando Montallango, all of which I worked my butt off to no avail, so laziness was not my problem. I figured that not having a mentor was my problem so I went and payed $2500 for a mentor promoted by the guru and all they did was reiterate the material that was in the book verbatim which up to this point is basically useless! as far as a mentor goes. Thank GOD for BP because I almost gave up on RE because I started to believe that the whole buying, Flipping,etc real estate with bad credit and no money is a complete falsehood that the guru's made up to get ppl to make them (guru's) fortunes. However I have a new found faith in this reality because of BP. Thanks to the forums I get to witness things actually happen to let me know that it can be done without paying some guru thousands of dollars just to teach you the ropes. I watched how @Tyler Bond made $100k in less than 12 months!! (awesome) and I aspire to repeat the same success as you my friend!!. Within the past 3 years I did learn how to somewhat read the tempo of the NYC market and I've been spot on with calling what changes would happen for the past 2 yrs. I just wasn't able to capitalize from my knowledge due to the lack of having a real mentor which lead to fear of being prayed upon by unscrupulous agents and lenders. I'm hoping that now that I have my BP constituents I am that much closer to finally closing my very first deal and I am soooooo excited. I'm looking forward to creating profitable relationships with everyone here.
