Greetings, BP Faithful!

My name is Zack Parker and after listening to about forty episodes of the podcast this week I decided there is no better time than now to join the community! Originally from Austin, TX, I currently live in Culver City, CA. After playing professional baseball for most of my twenties, I went back and finished school at The University of Texas and I now work in TV development in Santa Monica, CA. I figured after living my dream for ten years I should just move to Hollywood and start on dream #2.

As far as real estate experience goes, although I own a cash flow duplex in Austin I am still a newbie on the investment and growth side. It's been nice having a steady income property, but I am now ready to make the most out of my initial investment and start taking real estate to the next level. Since I have a job that I enjoy I am primarily focused on buy and hold properties. I love the idea of flipping but I think long term flips in the form of buy and holds are best for my current situation.

My immediate goal right now is to find a multifamily in LA county to buy and use as a primary residence while renting the other side. The more I read and listen to the BP community the more it kills me to pay such high rental costs in Los Angeles. That money should be going to better uses!

I am excited to get started in the community and look forward to learning and growing with you all. Please feel free to reach out anytime and I will do anything I can to help!
