Rookie from across the pond
Hi BP!
My name is Karl Turner and I am a student from Gloucestershire in South West England. Real estate is one of the few things I am really passionate about, a result of helping my parents out with a rehab project 10 years ago and the subsequent management and expansion of their business.
Now I am ready to try my hand at investing after agonising, decade-long wait, and my parents and I have had our offer accepted on a 5 unit property in need of renovating. I have already learnt a lot by lurking in the BP forums and I look forward to soaking up some more info (time to try out the podcasts methinks!) and hopefully passing on some knowledge when I (finally) gain some experience. Exciting times.
Cheers!

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice guys - I will be sure to take it on board. Trying to fight the urge to read the Beginner's Guide and focus on the day job right now!
Oh cool @James Wise What region of England are you investing in? Indeed, for one thing the property prices seem so much cheaper in the US!
And @Walter Ichikawa-Doyle I think I may try to learn the ropes a bit closer to home than Japan but if I ever decide to branch out I will be sure to get in touch haha.
