New wholesaler in Essex county MA

Hey BP, first off I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for teaching me a huge amount of information that is helping me begin my wholesaling business, I have still yet to close a deal but I'm working very hard to finally make that happen. I am on this forum to network with potential buyers, sellers, agents, really anyone in the real estate game around my area. I am also here because of the wealth of information you guys provide. I look forward to being active both on this site and in my real estate investing.

Hey Zachary, welcome to BP.

This is a great place to learn and to network with lots of great people. Take advantage of everything it has to offer! Make sure to read all the articles on the main blog, listen to the podcasts and be active in these forums. You will learn a ton about anything you want real estate related.

Make sure to connect with people that are doing what you want to learn more and get good contacts to help your business. We also have a strong MA group on here so connect with all of them to build a strong local network as well.

Besides working your networking here make sure to get out to the many investor events we have around here. Ones that you should look into are the NERIEA in Chelmsford, the Black Diamond events in Waltham (2nd location in Worcester), the Boston AREIA in Medford, a quarterly meetup in Woburn with a heavy BP theme (next one in June) and a couple of meetings on the North Shore. A bunch more if you want to go more south as well and a few things in NH.

BTW if you are wholesaling in Essex put me on your buyers list. :)

Welcome, Zachary,

If you set your keyword alerts to including "wholesale" "wholesaling" and "massachusetts", you'll get tons of information on the topics that you are interested in, and meet MA folks as well. For example, @Shaun Reilly referenced "black diamond" and because I have an alert set for that, it sent me an email. (I also got multiples, because I also have alerts set for MA, Worcester, Boston etc, which is fine.) The point is, it's a great way to filter the zillions of posts and get the info you want.

Locate and attend 3 different local REIA club meetings great place to meet people gather resources and info. Here you will meet wholesalers who provide deals and all the cash buyers (rehabbers) you will need. If you want to come to south of Boston meetings let me know.
