Green Investor in Seattle!

Hello BP Community,

My name is Justin McCain, I'm 26 and I live in Seattle, WA. I'm new to the real estate investing community and am very excited to soak up as much knowledge as I can from Bigger Pockets and get started on the right foot in real estate!

A little about me. My background is in heavy civil engineering and construction management and I'm currently working on the largest single bored tunnel in the world. I've always been interested in real estate and wanted to give it a shot, so a couple months ago I became a licensed Broker and I hang my license at Re/Max on the Lake. Similar to many people I've seen on here, I'm beginning real estate by moonlighting in my spare time and I am glad that I'm in good company as it appears many people have, and continue to do very well investing part time.

Although I'm a Broker, my main objective is to become a successful real estate Investor! I'd like to start my investment career by rehabbing and flipping properties so I'm studying J Scott's, "The Book on Flipping Houses" and am developing a business plan so I'm ready for action. My goal is to acquire my first property by the end of June and have if sold by the end of August.

As far as what I'm looking to get out of BP.... I'd like to make some solid connections in the Seattle area (and elsewhere) and develop meaningful relationships with Mentors, potential Business Partners and Lenders. Most importantly, I'd like to make some friends and enjoy the investment journey with like minded individuals who have similar goals and objectives as myself!

Regards,

Justin McCain
