Hi everyone! I came across BiggerPockets while googling information about first home purchases for my husband and I, which led to REI, which led me here! I have become completely sucked into the world of real estate investing in the past couple of weeks. I went out and bought Gary Keller's "The Millionaire Real Estate Investor" at Half-price books and read 100 pages the first night.

I do not have a background in Real Estate, but I have worked for 2 large lenders over the past 6 or 7 years in the mortgage space. I am currently a Project Manager in Home Loans Originations for a top 5 bank. As my profile mentions, I am learning that the Corporate world is not for me long-term; I have much greater goals for myself, including owning my own business (preferably REI).

Needless to say I am verrryyyy new to the whole REI thing, but in reading about it, something has clicked for me. I think this is it. There is a TON of information out there, and so much for me to learn, and it can be pretty intimidating to be honest!

Because I think buy-and-holds are the direction I would want to go, I really like the idea of starting out with a multi-family home. We will be looking to purchase something in 1-2yrs so I am trying to read and learn as much as I can and build out my network. I look forward to being a part of this community as I begin this journey! (Sorry if this is longer than necessary!)
