First timer looking to learn and invest

Ed Henson
Posted

Hi! I'm excited to be here and learn. I'm interested in buying and holding single-family and/or small multi-family properties. Currently in Las Vegas, NV where the barrier to entry is high in terms of costs SO I'm looking elsewhere.

Currently interested in north Dallas area, Ohio, and properties offered by REI Nation. Currently in research and networking phase. I am looking to take the (calculated) plunge early 2025.

Hope to make some great connections here! Bless!

Hey Ed,

There are some great opportunities in the Ohio markets. Many investors from California are choosing to invest in the Midwest because of the low barrier to entry and yearly cash returns making more sense in these lower priced markets. Ohio markets show up 3 times in Zillow’s 2024 hottest markets, with Columbus and Cincinnati taking the top 2 and 3 spots. I moved from Florida to start investing in Columbus because of the same reason.

The markets here in Ohio range. Cleveland is more of a cash-flow market while Columbus is going to be more appreciation heavy.
