New Member from Southern California

Hello BP Members,

My name is Geoff Woods and I am excited to be joining the Bigger Pockets community.

A little about my wife, daughter and I live in South Orange County. Currently, my day job is Medical Device Sales. While this has been a very stable and lucrative job for me, I have always had a passion for investment and been fascinated by real estate. However, like many of you, there was something that happened in your life that COMPELLED you to take action... For me it wasn't until earlier this year that I realized I NEEDED to make a change in my life and how I earned my income.

Early in 2013, a co-worker of mine had a stroke at 35 years old. Luckily he recovered and is now back to work, but it really hit me hard. See, I had just had my daughter and realized that while life was good now (family in good health, making good money), my family's income was by no means "secure" because I had to wake up and still go to work every day. What would happen to them is something happened to me? That's when I put a plan into action and set a goal of having $12,000/month in passive income by 2021.

Since that time, I sold my condo, rolled my equity into a new single family home in South Orange County and am in the process of closing escrow on a 4-plex in Louisville, Kentucky.

I have joined Bigger Pockets because I am thirsty for knowledge. My goal is to network with like minded people, seek mentorship, help others progress in their investment career, and DO DEALS!
