Young investor just getting started

Hello BP

My name is Jeffrey Mason. I am an ambitious 25 year old man looking to become a successful real estate investor. Let me begin by explaining how I am very new to the real estate world, and I know that I have MUCH to learn. I have only begun researching in the past couple of months. My lack of knowledge is my main obstacle, and I am looking for every resource I can find. I was introduced to BP by a friend, and I have been reading posts ever since. I was amazed to find a community of such humble and knowledgeable people who have the desire to help others. It is a rare find indeed.
My main goal is financial freedom and the freedom to spend most of my time doing the things I am passionate about. I plan to raise a family some day, and I don't want to be the kind of dad that barely sees his kids because he comes home late from his second job. I am currently a full time electrician which is giving me insight into the trades in general. I also work for a small business as a live animal exhibitor. Basically, I travel around the state to schools, colleges, and corporate events and present hands on and educational shows with an assortment of live animals. It has been an incredible experience, and I absolutely love doing it. As you can imagine time is not something I have in abundance, but I am determined to reach my goals.
As I stated before I am very new to this, and I only have a basic understanding of the real estate world. I have been reading and ordering books. (Started with Rich Dad Poor Dad) I have also been listening to the great BP podcasts on my way to work everyday, and I have recently started digging into the BP Ultimate Beginners Guide. I know that when I am ready to make my first investment I will be looking for a multifamily to buy and hold for cash flow. If anybody could give me any advice or insight I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you would simply like to just chat, I am always looking to meet new people with similar interests.

Thanks Everyone!

Good luck! I started years ago with a trailer by default. I hated it and sold the trailer a couple years later. Fast forward about 7 years later and I decided to give it a try again with a different approach. I love it now. What's the difference? Before it was bc I had to and everything drove me crazy. Now it's a business and an investment to my future and I treat it that way. It's just "part of the job" if something goes wrong. I believe it's all mindset. If your mind is right you can win and win big! If not then it's to much pressure and you will fail. Get your studying in and get your mind right and figure out exactly how you want to do it and you will be just fine!
Btw I bought that old trailer back!
