Hello Everyone... My name is Rich. I'm a 43 year old divorced father of 2 girls. I have been interested in real estate investing since I was in college but never jumped in. I have utilized the land contract option to purchase my first two homes and want to make the leap to owning other investments. I have a good friend who is an accountant and owns a number of rentals and has also done quite a few flips. After discovering this about him I sat down and asked how I could become involved. His answer was to bring money to the table or offer some specialized knowledge or time.

I began searching for information by stopping by the local book store and also the web for anything I could learn about investing. I consider it providence that I came across bigger pockets. Since finding BP I have consumed about 45 of the podcasts. Of course my brain is spinning.... Brandon and Josh.. Love you guys.. Almost feel like I know you after listening to so many.

I am here to continue to learn but am anxious to get my first deal on the books. I need help getting out of the "paralysis" mode.. lol. I am considering moving from my current residence and purchasing a duplex or tri-plex. It seems like the most common advice given as a "first step".

My hope is to build relationships here, connect with local investors and become involved in a investment club.

Look forwarding to hearing from you all. Blessings!!

Welcome to BiggerPockets, sometimes we travel the worldwide web to meet our neighbors.

My accountant, has some rentals and has done quite a few flips as well, your accountant real estate friend last name Craft by chance? I always refer him to anyone looking for a good accountant who understands real estate, first hand.

We focus on fix and flip, run four crews and have a couple loose "project partnerships" in the flip game as well. Don't do rentals right now, except the commercial building I bought for our offices and storage space, it came with a tenant. Will get into rentals again in a couple years.

Welcome to look me up, track me down if you want to talk real estate over coffee, if there is anything I can help you with feel free to post here, shoot me an email or call.

Great resource you stumbled across , ask a lot of questions, I am sure you will find, as I have, some brilliant people lurk around here answering real estate questions for free.
